Driver CPC Training Course (Nationwide)

Certificate of Professional Competence

Who is the course for?

If you have passed your HGV Licence prior to September 10th 2009, you need to make sure you complete 35 hours of approved driver CPC training by September 10th 2014.
European legislation dictates that drivers of vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, who have not completed 35 hours of training by September 10th 2014, can have their license cancelled by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.

Your course of approved training is delivered in a classroom-type environment with an emphasis on group participation and discussion to ensure use of best practice is achieved. During the day you will complete two courses on different subjects to help ensure that you will be able to continue to drive in a safe and efficient manner.
At the end of each course you will complete a multiple choice assessment paper to prove your knowledge and competence in the training subject covered.
